India won both women’s and men’s singles silver medals in Asian Games squash on 27 September. Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh reached the finals but each lost in three games to a Malaysian opponent.
Anahat, 18, was beaten 11–4, 11–4, 11–7 by Sivasangari Subramaniam. In the men’s final, Ng Eain Yow defeated Abhay to complete Malaysia’s sweep of the two singles titles.
The gold medallists also secured places at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics through this event. The Indian finalists did not obtain those qualification places; their silver medals remain separate from the question of later Olympic qualification.
